MOONLIGHTING AS AN ARTIST JUST LIKE MY PARENTS DIDN’T

Making this piece was a slow and meticulous process of over the course of many months, resulting in a cabinet that is next iteration of furniture in the Cut + Stick collection.
With it, I am trying to strike the balance between the beauty of patchwork, and the functionality inherently necessary in cabinetry.

The Cut + Stick process consists of collecting a variety of unwanted timber offcuts, then intuitively cutting and sticking the pieces together to form a larger material with a distinctive patchwork aesthetic.

INSUFFERABLY PERFECT AND UNBELIEVABLY HUMBLE

This lamp is the next piece in the ongoing Cut+Stick collection, a series that celebrates the beauty of timber waste. Individually, these offcuts are superfluous, with little to no value - but collected, categorised and painstakingly stuck together, they take on a whole new worth and meaning as a cohesive raw material.

SO MANY STORIES AND INK IS TOO EXPENSIVE

This process consists of collecting a variety of unwanted timber offcuts, then slowly, meticulously and intuitively cutting and sticking the pieces together to form a larger material with a distinctive patchwork aesthetic.

Cut + Stick looks to celebrate the beauty and unique nature of different timbers as a collective - whilst also providing a commentary on the need for biodiversity in the woodlands that these trees once came from.

THE IRONSTONE CHAIR

To explore the archeological past of where I’ve grown up and now live.

This chair gets its distinctive colour from a mixture containing iron oxide (commonly known as rust), part of a range of pigments I have been developing recently using whatever stones/rusts/minerals that I can get my hands on.
